Spent 5 days in Bangkok. ALot has changed since the last time i came here was was 6 years ago. I decided to go to Pai for a night, as i have heard so many speak about it. Met a another traveller from brazil and we made our way to Pai. The ride up there was not the best on the way up as the crazy driver was racing all the way up around the mountains, and it didnt help that they were so winding. Ended up getting into Chiang mai late. Wasnt the best starts in Thailand, got to the hostel and it was fully booked until the next day. So we walked around for a good hour till we found somewhere, and eventually found a place but wasnt the best. Instead of a matteress we had a foam bed, great to sleep in...not!! WE ended up getting to Chiang rai in good time, however all the buses were full untill 3pm, so had to wait around for 4 hours to get our bus. next time ill wait at the border and get the bus....even though i did pay less to do it my way...:D oh well you learn, so all good. The journey wasnt too bad took about 3 hours to get into Chiang Mai. Even got to see the white temple as we were leaving the city, looked quite impressive.

Got through immgartion quickly and got a thai long tail boat over to the Thai side, which took atotally of about 5 minutes, got our passport stamped and off we went. There were no buses to Chiang Mai for a few hours, so decided to get a local bus to Chaing Rai and then get from there to Chiang Mai. Didnt stay long at the border town as there didnt seem much to do here so just made our way across to Chiang Mai as soon as we could.
