I flew from Brisbane to Sydney as it was cheaper than taking the coach believe it or not.
Only too an hour an half i was in Sydney, i made my way to central where i met up with Jo from back home, was great to see her and spent a few days with her.
The trains are starnage here they are on 3 floors, so weird and you can change the seats to face the other way.
Then went and stayed with some other friends from back home Amy and Stephen and Stephen cousins Nat.
Was just great seeing people form back home, but have to admit it did make me feel home sick especially with teh Olympics being on TV, I was even considering coming home after New Zealand but have changed my mind and will be out for longer...:D
Sydney again is quite small and easy to get about, again like Brisabne has aspects of London here, with pubs and lots of shops.
The second night i was in Sydney, went and saw the Sydney Opera house and Sydney harbour bridge was which really nice, but it is so strange to see that it is really built up, i didnt relaise there would be so many buildings about. Still quite surreal that i am in Sydney and seen two iconic landmarks.
Took the bus to Palm beach where home and away is filmed, but there was no filming that day so was a little disappointed but the location is really lovely, really nice beach.
Took the train went and visted the blue mountains which are about 2 hours out of Sydney by train and only cost about $11 which isnt too bad considering it cost me $15 from the airport to central which was only 3 stops and took about 20 minutes.
Spent the rest of the time chilling out, organising what and where i was going and also got free tickets to see the Smashing Pumpkins in Sydney courtesy of Amy which was a bonus.
Then stayed with Annaliese for the last three days before heaidng out.
Was great seeing so many freinds from back home made me a little home sick and was considering coming home after NZ, but now decided to carry on travelling.
