There are just so many cool places to visit in Queensland, it’s a great state!! We stopped at a small place called Rainbow Beach in which the Oz experience driver thought us how to throw a boomerang and play a didgeridoo; we also got a lesson on the history of Australia and loads of interesting facts about the aborigines. We only stayed here for few hours and then got back on the bus to Noosa.
Noosa was lovely; it’s a place where you would find the rich and famous (we didn’t). It had stunning big houses on the river and loads of lovely shops and restaurants. We only stayed here for 2 days, but we made the most of our time here. The weather was lovely so spent time on the main beach. The second day we walked to the spit, its where the sea joins the lake, it was really cool and we did a lot more sun bathing there. On the day we were leaving we hired a little tin boat and drove around the lake for 2 hours. Jen loved driving so I just sat back and watched the huge mansions go by. One day I will own one, I promise! Noosa was really cool, although wasn’t a fan of the hostel, I know its gross but think I got bed bugs, errrrrrrrrrr!!!
From Noosa we arrived in Brisbane. Didn’t do much here apart from shopped, shopped and shopped. We decided to get each other xmas stockings for Christmas day so we went our separate ways and got each other some little bits. Jen brought a really nice dress for new years, im still looking!!! We met up again with Dan and Sarah, a couple we met in Caines and the 3 girls went to the hostel bar to watch a stripper. Jen was loving it and she got pulled up on stage, it was so funny, the pictures explain all. He was hot though!!! It was Jens turn to get of her face, she was so drunk and managed to fall over on the dance floor, all I could do was laugh, bless her. That’s it really for Brisbane, oh yeah we went to the cinema and watched Borat, it was so funny.
Next was Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast. This is where we stayed with Jens family friends, Sue and Ron McDonald, they had 4 sons, Chris (19), Daniel (18), David (17), and Matt (16) yes all had a year between them, crazy! They met us at the bus station and took us to their lovely house. It was one that I just told you about in Noosa, on the lake, had a swimming pool, like 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, it was just really nice and great to be in a normal house again. They had loads of xmas decorations too so made us start to feel like its xmas!! All the family were lovely, Sue cooked us some amazing meals, we got very spoilt. Had Champaign, seafood, roast lamb, bbq, too us out for Chinese (yes I eat all theses things now, wahooo), they were really kind. Chris took us out and showed us around, took us to some lovely beaches and we went to ‘Wet and Wild’ with him and his friends. It was so fun there, went on loads of wicked water slides. It was pretty busy but managed to do most of the rides. Jen loved it she had never been to a slide park before. Done some more shopping here, managed to get 2 dresses, 1 for xmas day and 1 for new years!! Yeah!! Had a wicked, relaxing time here. If you are reading this guys, thank you so much for everything!
