After a year and a month of travelling I have finally decided to keep a blog, however this may just be out of boredom on the farm and will stop when I finish farm work in two weeks!
Can't believe I'm finally coming towards the end of my three months farm work to get my second year visa for Australia.
The transition from city girl to country farm girl wasn't as hard as I had expected.... My biggest challenge here was overcoming my fear of the chooks!
Although most people who know me would think it would be the lack of booze I think I've done pretty well in that area, of course this doesn't mean I won't be putting myself in a booze induced coma the minute I come off the farm!
I can honestly say after these two weeks I never want to see another zucchini (courgette) as long as I live!
Luckily I've had Bex here to keep me (slightly) sane as we do often randomly burst into song and dance to keep ourselves entertained. And help eachother deal with the other wwoofers coming through the farm!
From initially hating the farm and looking for a new farm after the first couple of days I have actually grown to love the simple country life not too bad when I'm currently lying here topping up my sun tan :) accompanied with a delicious home cooked meal made for me every night I'm feeling pretty relaxed!
Highlight of my time in orange is going wakeboarding with some aussies we met on a lush boat even if i did faceplant the water and give myself concusion!
F.O.O.D week is coming up for my last two weeks here so ending my time on the farm tasting free food and wine in the town.
This first blog isn't that exciting sorry as although I'm saying I've grown to love it I'm stuck on a bloody farm with the closest pub/shop a 20 minute drive away!
Brisbane next on the agenda to meet up with all the girls from my Melbourne flat :) can't wait to see some sand, sun and cocktails!
