Travelled from Byron to Brisbane today and stopped at Nimbin on the way - the craziest hippy community where the police ignore the drugs and crazy behaviour. The highlight of this awful stop was the maggot my friend found in her salad! Then we stopped at Surfers Paradise, another not great place - lets say it was like Benidorm, but in OZ and taken over by tourists. Next we went zorbing. This time a much better experience than when i did it in the cold wet winters...

Dont faint but i made it up for sunrise over Byron Bay and it was amazing - not sure it beats sunset, but that may have something to do with the 530am start and the bitter cold wind! Have had a couple of days in Byron and found a bit of sunshine during the days although night is still very cold. Had the BEST night ever at Cheeky Monkeys - spent the whole night dancing on the tables and i won a game. Still with the OZ bus group and again i oragnised a big BBQ one ...

Look at miss surfer dude!! Its all an image, i was crap!! I loved it and the waves were HUGE and i have all the surfer lingo to sound like i know what the hell im talking about but in reality, i couldnt stand, just body board. Have left Sydney now after 3 weeks and in ususal Katie style i organised all my friends in Sydney and cooked us all dinner etc on the last night!! I just cant stop mothering! I have started travelling up the coast - first stop Barrington Tops, in the middle of nowhere!! I abseiled here and we went for a bush walk, BBQ, chilling round the camp fire, walking along the river....a complete extreme to Sydney, although i feel lost without the hustle & bustle! Well iv still not made it out of Sydney but Im definitely booked on the bus to leave at 630am monday! Not sure what that time of the morning looks like anymore - ive never been so lazy.
