We went to Wentworth Falls first and walked to 3 different lookout points - each one with a better view than the previous one. The Blue Mountains are so called, because the eucalyptus trees (which is what that great expanse of forest is made up of) give off eucalyptus oil when the sun hits their leaves. This creates a blue haze. I actually couldn't get over how fresh and pure the air was up there. You could smell the eucalyptus oil so strongly. Our guide told us, that in the olden-days, people would come up to the mountains for medical reasons because it was so beneficial to their respiratory systems. Eucalyptus oil is the primary ingredient in Vicks Vapo-rub!
