Katie:From Bangkok we took a minibus to Ban Phe where we boarded a speed boat to take us to Koh Samet, the closest island to Bangkok. Left Beijing and took a flight to Hong Kong where we arrived on the 18th in the evening to unfortunately very bad weather. Arrive in Beijing after 20 hours on a soft sleeper train, the journey wasn't too bad and went quite quickly.
