Well some of us were not up till late as we had not made the 1 hour time adjustment. This effected what we could do today. We went to visitor information in the main st where the guy put us into information overload. Anyway we strolled along the street and then drove to the Cataloochie Ranch which was closed - we are between seasons - they have a snow season and a summer season. We then go to see the elk. The guy told us that the road was windy and gravel in parts. It was a scary drive with steep drops off the side of the road it seemed to take hours to get there. The Elks stay in the forest all day and come out about 4.30 pm. We had a bit of a walk around they have some buildings in the valley as there used to be a settlement there. Only one road in and out of the place. The first Elks we saw were a long way away and sitting down so hard to see but then as we were driving out we saw some more. Came home had some Trout dip and drinks before heading out to dinner. We had dinner at a wine cellar which was really nice and they had a guy playing piano. The owners came over and introduced themselves which was really nice. Then we headed up to Boo Jum Brewery for a couple of drinks. Home to bed ready for a big day of driving.
