Hey there all......

First of all thank you all so so so much for all my Birthday messages....I felt so moved that facebook had to load uo "Older Posts" twice so i could read them all.......it really made me think of home, uni, work, life in general so thank you all again.

So....I did have an AMAZING Birthday thank you......I was trekking in the Cordillera Blanca...the Santa Cruz treck...it was a four day treck...on my bday we walked for 9 hours got to an elevation of 4250M and camped under a glacier (pictures (numerous) Facebook)...SOSOSOSo amazing...and Freezing, literally...Lizzie and I zipped our sleeping bags together and our tent froze in the night......our Guide Abil...such an awesome funny, kind guy....sang to me in the morning.....couldnt believe I was 25 "so old" he said.....bloody cheek at 23!!!!

Anyway.....it was so cool, we met some awesome people some of us got quite sick and ther eis no Mountian rescue here you carry on regardless and everyone pulled together and helped eachother...the first day we only walked for 4 hours and then camped, the second day 9 hours, the 3rd 10 hours and to anelevation of 4700M (quite a hard day!!!I had a bad head and a nose bleed form the elevation!) and the fourth day (today) a short 2 hour walk.....so so amazing...never been so scancky in my life.....Ill leave that there!

We had an amazing chef.....amazing meals....they even accomodated for me being veggie...except for chicken soup every night....but veggie sandwiches and a veggie option at night..this morning we had pancakes in the sun......

We ahve decided since we loved that so much to do a glacier treck up a mountain to 5700M (S**t me!!) um i may die....but well excited...the mountian (forgot the name) sits in the middle of the range and forward so you can see the whole of the Cordellileras....

Tonight we are off to meet our guie again for our free Pisco Sour for completing the treck...Lizzie and I are cramming as much in as possible since we love it here so so much...Lizzie is going on another hike tomorrow for Churup Lake and I am hanging in Huaraz going to check out some ruins, rock walls, and musuems.....Boring stuff to Miss Procter (buildings!!) and Im not as fit as here to go on another hike tomorrow before our big 2 days.....so our first day apart!!!

Right off now for a CIDER (found one in a bar!!)
