Florence was very pretty. We got up early again to get to the first train so we had almost a whole day there. We went to see Brunaleskis Duoma which was really cool, like no other cathedral that we've seen so far. If I went back I would try to climb the 400 steps in the dome to get a view of the city.
We went on a big search for GOOD Italian food, because we were yet to have an amazing Italian meal. And we found it, I had gnocchi with peppers and goats cheese, and it was yum! Plus some local wine which was also yum! The best way to find good food is to keep walking as far away from any tourist spots as possible into little alleyways, and that's where you'll find the authentic meals. I liked Florence as a city a lot more than Rome, even though there are less sites to see, it was a lot prettier. I attempted a siesta, but I think I need to practice a bit more before I get to Spain, because I wasn't too good at it!
We opted for Mexicano for dinner for something different, which was great, then wondered back through Florence at night.
I have found so far that Italian people are far more ruder then the French, which I thought would be the other way around. Nobody can be bothered to help, and they curse for ages in Italian when you say you can't speak Italian. Table service is pretty crap too. But all in all, it's not too hard to get around still.
