Hey Churks!
Missed you on Christmas Day, especially when the wine was freely flowing!!! I can confirm that you Mum was on her best behaviour and got quietly drunk in the corner with the occassional cheer for the poor singers on the machine who thought they were Rod Stewart! Mum slept like a log sharing with mad Aunty Pen and only occassionally waking Pen up with the piggy snoring - what a talent she has and kept it so quiet!!!!! Anyway we enjoyed having her and she seemed to enjoy things herself and honestly, she will never be the odd one out with our lot!!!!!!!
Seems like you are having a fab time too and I can picture where you were for your birthday and what a fab atmosphere it has too - you lucky girl! I remember Bondi beach was a bit minging but full of students with surf boards, some quite tasty if I remember (not in a old woman disgusting way though just looking out for the young girls!), still you have to say that you've been don't you? Hope you enjoy the New Years Eve celebrations - I'm dead green!
Anyway have a Happy New Year, will be thinking of you and even looking out for you when they show the fireworks on TV eleven hours before us!!!!
Have fun and take care you

It would seem that I'm at it again don't know quite what happened there!!!! Anyway, I had a great time with the Evans, Walkers and Shannons, thank God for them I would have been lost without them, they never make me feel like the odd one out.
I'm looking forward to New Year now, we all need cheering up so we should be able to jolly one another along. Have an amazing time, (like you need persuading), stay safe, love Mum.
Mum
Well he finally did it, your little brother moved out !!! Your card arrived at his flat today and a large jiffy bag arrived at my house filled with most of NZ, is that the one you told me to expect. Feeling better today, back at work and it would seem that not everyone had an amazing Xmas like
Me!!!
Hurray!! All my favourite people...I'm sat here in Sydney with a tear in my eye. Thank you all so much for making the effort to get in touch, I miss you all so much! Thank you Shannons/Evans/Walkers/Pen for looking after me ma on Christmas night, it made me feel much better to think she was getting p!ssed with you lot rather than on her own! And Si-o, so good to hear from you, I was missing the abuse!
I had an amazing birthday, we went to a place called the Opera Bar, which has to boast the world's best location, with direct views of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge...and then after we'd all been sitting there a while there was a massive fireworks display over the bridge...it was really amazing. The people I was with tried to tell me they'd organised it especially for me, but I'm not convinced - I think it was a practice run for New Year's Eve or maybe somebody dropped a match into their storage cupboard. Either way, it made the night extra special! Wish you could've all been here to enjoy it with me though, we'd have had a riot!
I'm on my own in an internet cafe in Bondi, the first time I've been alone since September 14, and I have no doubt Emily would agree when I say it's quite liberating! (If she doesn't agree, I'm in for a b*llocking when I get home if she reads this!) We're staying with one of Emily's friends from home, Lisa - she's a lovely girl and her and her housemates have been really generous. We spent Christmas Day in a big group at a place called Bronte Beach, just a bit up form Bondi. I had my Welsh towel hanging in a tree and we attracted a few boyos - one particularly fit one...maybe this is where all the fit Welsh boys are! We're here for NYE - Leso, I'll take your advice on the perfect sitting position for the best views...think it's going to be an all-dayer!!
Carlbob - thanks for the message and the e-cards, I've been cr*p at keeping in touch with you...hope you've enjoyed the festivities!
Phillit - glad you appreciate the gift! Saw it and thought of you!
Anyway, to say I miss you all is a massive understatement...I wish I could be experiencing all this with each and every one of you. Have a glass of bubbly for me, and I'll do the same for you - just 11 hours earlier!
Stay in touch. Love you all xxx
Philip
Hi yah Kate,
Happy birthday and Happy Christmas and all that! I hope you're enjoying Oz, just stay with the Welsh thing, they'll appreciate that.
I hope you got the money posted in your account, I hope it helps, (your not running out of money yet?) Thanks for my lovely present as well, it's a well known name even here. You know that thing about kids who end up playing with the wrapping rather than the actual gift? Well enough said, suffice to say I did a bit of ironing and found we now get along very well, I think it might be a long term thing as long as it doesn't fade in daylight!
Well I'm having a quiet time here right now, a bit of a lull after the initial storm, but it all starts again tomorrow. I assume you've been partying too but what a place to be having the big one!
Have loads of fun, take care and be frivalous!

Hey Churks! Harpy Biffday! What a lovely place to be celebrating, I do envy you! Make sure you get to see everything in Sydney and a trip to the sky tower is a starter, you can see for miles!!! To get a good look at the fireworks on New Year, get a spot in the park behind the Opera House, as you look at the Opera House, it is up above you behind the fence.....you can get a fantastic view of everything from there if you are perpared to camp out on the grass for at least 6 house beforehand, plenty of beer and chips to hand too!!!!!
Seems like you have been doing some exciting (or stupid!) things....don't think skydiving is for me at my age but I'm sure it was fun with a man on your back!!!! whatever next??
Hope all is well with you and that you are having the time of your life, we do miss you though and cause you're not home, we can't seem to shake Nat off for more than a day...she needs your company to give us a rest!!!!! Don't worry about you Mum this Christmas, I will look after her...mind you after I've had 6 gins, she's on her own! Still she will be fine staying at Sals she will at least get a good breakfast the next morning to soak up the night before!!!
Hope you have a good birthday and a lovely, if different Christmas!!!
Take care you x x

Yo Czyrko
Read your Christmas card to Sal & Funkie and I'm amazed. What a wonder woman you're turning out to be....!!!
Sky-diving, zorbing (sounds painful whatever it is...) and I'm wondering...."what next?" Sounds like you're having a fabulous time and why not! We're sat in the bedroom and Natalie's just but my black leather high-heeled boots onto Izzie and she looks like a madam from a brothel !!!
Anyway, just want to say hope you're having a great birthday down under and get the champuz down you girl.
love

Hi there Czyrko,
How's our second favourite girl? Funky has not stopped showing everyone your card, he thought it was wonderful, we both did. Have persuaded Mum to stay Christmas night, she will probably go home about New Years Day! Have read all the messages and can see that you are having a wonderful time.
You will love New Year in Sydney - we are very envious of you.
Hope you have a wonderful birthday, we will have a nice glass of champagne and toast you.
Love you and miss you. Will message you again. Merry Christmas and New Year.
Funky and Aunty Sal. xxxx
