OK! so we've been here for three days now and have just arrived in Mamarapullam, which is a sea-side village. We were quie relieved when we got here because we saw other travellers! Which is not the experience we had in Bangalore.

We were in Bangalore for about 3 days, but only because we missed our train out of there, so had to stay an extra night! It wasn't too bad but when we first arrived we got the shock of our lives. In the cab to the hotel we nearly crashed about a thousand times!! Well not really but basically the traffic there is mad! Everyone beeps at everyone as if to state their exsistence (theres no need to look in any mirrors) and as me and kate were trying clumsily to find our seat belts the cab driver quickly re-assured us that 'in Bangalore we no use seat belts'... which of course made us feel much safer! It is a very busy city but we didn't go outside much, it was mainly men! At one point we saw this man who wouldn't wake up on the street (he was a shoe- shiner) and everyone thaught he was dead :( but then we came back a few hours later and he was awake so we had a big sigh of relief! (Bangalore is really polluted, there is lots of rubbish everywhere). We found a few very nice Bangalor-ians who helped us fill out our train reservation forms (twice!). Everyone we spoke to made sure we took their details so that we could go and stay with them or call them if we need help (everyone assumes we need help!?!).

But today we got the 6.30 am train to Chennai and were so exhausted when we got there that we just got a pre- paid taxi to Mamarapullam, which cost us about 800 rupees (about 12 quid) which was really worth it because we saw such amazing scenery on the way! (haven't quite worked out how o put the pictures up yet but stay tuned). It is so beautiful here, we are really near the beach. We've only been here a few hours and we've been hassled quite a lot by people to but things, but they are very friendly! The place we are staying in now is where most travellers seem to be so we're hoping to get chatting to people later on and find out about different places to go!

So i only have half an hout\r on this comp (for like 5 pence!) and my time is nearly up so thats it for now folks! Im thinking we will be here for a while so im sure you'll here from us again soon!
