Woke up and we were actually warm...wow. It was a freezing day so we used the spa at the campsite. Left Blenhiem and drove through the most beautiful countryside to Nelson. Woke up surrounded by builders doing work outside the van. Very embarressing so we jumped in the front and drove to the supermarket, still in our pjs. Went for a wash in the public toilets then set off heading for Kaikoura. Stopped off at the Waimakorri beach. It was so wierd seeing a beach covered in snow but lovely. Woke up to snow. We were so excited it was like we'd never seen it before. The excitement soon wore of when the coldness settled in.
