Woke up and checked out of the lovely hostel. Drove to the craters of the moon ( a thermal activity area where steams rises out of the ground) Had a look around then drove to Waitomo Caves. Took a tour through the caves then at the end we went on a boat. It was pitch black and all you could see were thousands of glow worms on the roof of the cave. It looked amazing. Woke up and got picked up for the skydive. Got fitted into our jump suits and harnesses and met our tandem masters. Jodies was called Brad Rock..how cool. Kates was about 5 foot tall. We weren't nervous but had the giggles all the way up. The plane was tiny and we all squashed in. Thought we were really high but we were only 2000ft. Another 10,000ft to go!! Woke up and left Wellington and headed for Whakapapa Village (Morder from Lord of the Rings) Took a drive up to the top of the mountain to look at the amazing views. Drive to Taupo and checked into a lovely hostel. The best one we've stayed in. Booked our skydive. AARRGGHH!!! Went in the sauna (very posh) and watched films all night in the TV room.

Had a lovely lie in then got dressed and walked to the Te Papa museum of New Zealand. We stayed there all day but still didn't manage to see it all. It was huge and fascinating. Came home and cleaned our van which was bogging. There were dirty dishes and the sink was wedged with food. we're starting to live like slobs.
