Woke up and got picked up for the skydive. Got fitted into our jump suits and harnesses and met our tandem masters. Jodies was called Brad Rock..how cool. Kates was about 5 foot tall. Woke up and left Wellington and headed for Whakapapa Village (Morder from Lord of the Rings) Took a drive up to the top of the mountain to look at the amazing views. Drive to Taupo and checked into a lovely hostel. The best one we've stayed in. Booked our skydive. AARRGGHH!!! Went in the sauna (very posh) and watched films all night in the TV room.

Had a lovely lie in then got dressed and walked to the Te Papa museum of New Zealand. We stayed there all day but still didn't manage to see it all. It was huge and fascinating. Came home and cleaned our van which was bogging. There were dirty dishes and the sink was wedged with food. we're starting to live like slobs.

Woke up early and headed for the ferry port in picton. Bought some new CDs for the journey and sang our hearts out all the way. Arrived in Picton after a 6 hour drive and headed for the ferry port getting lost on the way of course. Woke up early and hit the road for another long drive. Headed for Christchurch through the snow. Didn't get there till late so we did some washing, made a cooked dinner with hard potatoes and lumpy gravy..YUM! then hit the sack.
