We are on our lasat day in San Diego today. The flight here was fine and very quick. Think it took us longer to get through security taking our shoes, belts etc off.
Our first night here we just had a look round the area where our hostel is called the Gaslamp Quarter. The hostel is a massive improvement on the last one!
Our first full day here we went to Seaworld, saw the Shamu show which was really good and loads of other cool sea type things! We even stroked a sea cucumber which was really squidgy! Also went on a raft ride thing and got absolutely drenched! Our tickets let us go back as many times as we like in a fortnight so going back again today to get our moneys worth!
The next day we went on a hostel trip to Tijuana the border town in Mexico with lots of other people from the hostel. Its quite a dodgy place lots of kids trying to sell you things. We went to a restaurant/nightclub type place for some food and these men came round and poured tequila into your mouth. They seemed to get Andy first. It seemed li8ke they were pouring it in for ages but was only about 10 seconds i thought it was absolutely vile and it made me really ill later! Don't ever want to go near tequila ever again. While we were waiting for our food we had a go on a mechanical bull, i was the only one that fell off, but i did it gracefully! Andy has bought a big mexican hat which only cost about $5 so we will ahev to try and get that round the world with us along with the big cocktail glasses we have collected fr5om Lasd Vegas. After the restaurant they took us to this shop which sold all types of alcohol and gave us free samples some were very strong. Andy tried the tequila that has the worm in it, i think its banned in America and England. He didn't like it much!
The next day we went to Mission Beach and Pacific beach. Andy built a masterpiece of a sandcastle which he was very proud of! We also saw our first Californian sunset, Andy got very snap happy with that!
Yesterday we went with a few others from the hostel to San Diego Zoo which was massive! Saw some great animals like a bear and orangutans. We spent most of the day there.
Off to Los Angeles tomorrow our last stop in America. Getting the Greyhound bus there this time.
Thats all for now! Hope everyone is ok!
Love Kate and Andy xxxxx
