It's taken a bit longer than we hoped to write our first blog but it's been more difficult than we thought to find the time to get into an internet cafe!
Thanks for all the messages on the message board. Having a great time so far but it's going by much too quickly! Difficult to pick out the highlights so far as we've enjoyed everything but swimming with dolphins in Adelaide, driving along the Great Ocean Road and watching a penguin parade in Melbourne are some of the things that stand out.
Today we went to Ballarat where there's a 'living museum' called Sovereign Hill. It was great but for the first time in about a month it poured down with rain! Can't really complain though as the weather's been great the rest of the time.
It's our last night in Melbourne city centre tonight before we head to the beaches at St Kilda (short tram ride away) tomorrow. Will be going to a 'Neighbours' night on Monday which we're excited about!
Congratulations to Jo for her place at Newcastle! Good luck for the MMU interview, let us know how it goes.
Mum - we were also surprised to see Penny Lane in KL! Beatles bar wasn't open so couldn't go inside, but thought Dad might appreciate the photo!
Anyway just going to try and add a few more photos before we log off.
Hope everything is OK at home.
Lots of love,
Kate and Henry xxx
