From Airlie Beach we Joined up with a tour group and stayed on South Molle Island in the Whitsundays. We spent two days sailing around the Whitsundays and we went to Whitehaven Beach which was bliss and a reeef which i cant remember the name off... :s but it was gorgeous and a complete party boat! 75 youngens shoved on a boat with the only rules being "if we have to abandon ship, grab a life ring and a box of goon and get drunk till your rescued!" so fun times all round really.
we stayed in airlie Beach a few more nights once we were back from the Islands, we met up with our old friends from Thailand which was really good but there was a blackout soooooo that ruined the rest of the night! partying to no music isnt fun but there was a cool guy chilling outside playing his guitar as the only source of entertainment so that kept us going for about 10 minutes!
After Airlie Beach we headed on down to Kroombit to a Cattle Station...this turned out so much more fun than we expected! after getting over the fact that we were literally stranded in the middle of no where and that we were sleeping in horse stables we stared to really enjoy ourselves! we got taught by a proper jackaroo how to crack a whip, rode the mechanical bull and i have to say i did pretty well!! well..second time round i did, the first time i flew of it straight away. the next morning at the cattle station we took part in a goat rodeo... so much fun! one was the "catcher" one laid it down and the other branded it... (not with a real one) SO much easier said than down!! the goat did not want to come and me talking sweetly to it saying "come here little guy" did not work. after that we rode horses all over the station for about 2 hours, mustering the goats into different fields. our cattle station experience was so good and completely nothing i have ever done beofre!
