We had another peaceful night at Depot Beach. We woke up to the sight and sounds of all the wonderful wildlife here. It had been another noisy night on the Canberra sink estate site. There were noises coming from somewhere which sounded like someone possibly being murdered. We never found out what had occurred not that we wanted to. The other nasty thing about this camp site was that near the reception they had two fairly small outside cages which contained two gold crested cockatoos. We only managed to get a bit of sleep because of the heat and the noise. We had breakfast and then went to explore Canberra. We checked the bus stop outside and discovered that no buses ran at the weekend. We decided to walk in as it wasn't really that far and the exercise would be good.
