Well today was great! We got off our flights and made our way to a castle, a national park, a treaty stone and now our hotel!
I should start out with the fact that we were soooo tired from our flights. The 6 hour over night flight wasn't too bad. We all slept the whole way. Well, err, most of us! Michael and Taylor (n) were up the whole time. And just as we all thought, anytime we were on the bus for a longtime, they surely fell asleep. It was actually kind of funny. Everyone got a picture or two of them sleeping funny!
The castles were soo beautiful! I have pictures I will post later! I couldn't even believe they were still there! The first one was called Bunratty, it was really tall and beautiful. Supposedly they had shows of some sort, but we never went in.
Okay, so then we went to this really super cute mall/ shopping center. We got out of our buss and had some really tasty lunch! First experience at a pub! It was fun! We are with everyone in out group and watched rugby. Yeah, don't ask me about that. I still don't understand that game. Taylor (p) says that it's a more manly sport than football. I flat out just don't understand it. Then we did a little shopping and went on to our next stop.
Then we went and saw this stone called a treaty stone! From what our tour guide was telling us, the treaty was signed on this rock saying that England and Ireland wouldn't fight anymore. But not a year later, England stabbed them in the back, going behind their backs.
Lastly, we went to the national park. It's truly incredible. I couldn't believe how pretty and green it looked. We even saw some wild horses that came right up to us crazy enough! We get to go there again tomorrow. I'm pretty excited for it!
Well, now we are all in our rooms. Taylor (p) and Erin and I are all rooming together. As you can see from the picture, it's huge and beautiful. Very modern! We have to be in the lobby at 4:45 to leave for dinner. I do believe Mr. Craig said we were having.... Stew? Yeah, stew. Haha anyways I'm starving.
It's about 3:55 in kilarey. It's very beautiful. It has also been raining off and on today. It's nice to me, but it does get a little cold at times. Well, I'll write again tomorrow!! Chao!
Miss everyone already!!
