hello darling woah can't believe it's taken me all week to write to you, must have been a busy week. well i've been a bit off for part of the week on account of my Q-Fever vaccination which is required for living on station country due to feral goats (slowly they are getting rounded up...) Q Fever is an illness like chronic fatigue and you are sick for about 2 years with it if you get it so i suppose it was worth it. But I feel like i've been hit by a truck! i slept all day wednesday and was in bed by 830pm most nights sooooo tired. v To live the life the way your choose, you have to be a little rebellious, you have to be willing to stand up for yourself The above line is taken from the attachment i will send you separately - it's my favourite line in the document. I readily admit that I KNOW NOTHING yet about a hectic life like you would and with all the competing priorities. All i know now is that if i don't plan and prepare for the holidays i want, then they won't happen. Being married to a lovely guy means nothing if i lose myself in the relationship. I am and always have been a traveller. My interest in other humans and cultures and how they live has always been a fascination for me and something I like to occasionally experience. I love to walk a mile in someone elses shoes, to exist in their lives as they do and make friends along the way. Being married I do this less, maybe an o/s trip every 2 years now vs at least one a year previously. I know as the years pass it will be far more infrequent - particularly over the next 10-15 years but i'm guess that is what having kids is about, putting them first a lot of the time.Heath and I still like eachother and had a lovely dinner / movie date the other night, complete with bottle of wine and sharing the popcorn at the movie. he got the hugest bucket of the stuff ever, it was funny. we had a good go at getting through it all. we were able to get in to 007 at the last minute even though it wasn't advertised which was great. my big tip tho is to watch casino royale first tho as this one picks up straight away and really completes the story of the first movie. it's relevant right to the closing scene. it's raining here which is wonderful - although my collie jumped in to bed with us at 4am today when the thunder and lightening started up. poor little boy was shaking he was so scared. with the rain starting up again now he has crawled under my desk and is hiding in the back corner. he is such a cutie. i keep telling him what a brave boy he is :)have you a busy weekend ahead? (aside from a new job!) i am making us indian food tonight, all vegetarian if you want to join us (kashmir spinach, madras lentils, jaipur veggies, rice and a million papadams!) and tomorrow he will most likely go windsurfing. tomorrow night we have a work dinner and sunday we go up the farm for a few days. i'd best run for now - i have a coffee date today in town with my girlfriend from camp quality - we used to work there together. hope you both have a wonderful weekend. xxxjules
