I haven't done a blog post in a while, I also haven't written in my diary for over a week, but strangely enough we're not actually doing that much other than sleeping and chilling on beaches- the relaxing is really tiring :)
Koh Tao was really nice, it's an island known for diving and snorkelling, I contemplated trying to face my fear and go snorkelling but in the end decided against it and rented a lilo instead. The beach was pretty nice, the only thing was that the tide came in right up to the buildings, so that wherever you lay, the towel woud soak up all the water. I fell asleep for a couple of hours and woke up soaking!
On the bus from Bangkok to the island we met two girls, Lily and Kat who we ended up sharing a room with in Koh Tao. Our hostel was alright, we had air con for the first time in ages and there was a cheap bar downstairs. Our four days there really were just spent on the beach during the day (if everyone got up in time) and drinking during the night. Although I started to bail on some of those nights and chose instead to try and get up a bit earlier!
On the last day, while I was floating around in the sea on the lilo, I saw a dead fish, and immediately started to paddle away. Grace and Kat decided to go and pick it up, this resulted in Grace getting slapped in the face with a dead, wet fish by both Kat and Lily. I think they had it worse, having to touch it for much longer than the slap that Grace got!
Next stop, Koh Phangan!
