I slept most of my 14 hr flight which was nice. I think the free booze helped. Had absolutly no ploblems with customs. (They didnt even look in my bag) Then had my first beer in australia at 730 am walking back to dave's house. Not a bad start. Dave had to work so we walked downtown then parted ways and I found myself exitedly starting my adventures. I first walked to the apra house which is amazing! Pictures dont do it justice. Then found a nice bench in the botanical gardens looking out over the water to sit and read. (I guess it was the warmest day yet) I must of brought the warm weather. After exploring for meny hours I met back up with dave to have lunch with some of his coworkers. They were all young atractive lawyers, which was nice. After lunch Dave thought I had seen enough sites, and wanted to show me what the bars are like. I agreed. After meny "scooners" small pint glasses, we booked our bus trip leaving mon, (traveling from sydney to cairns) and walked home. Dave lives in a house with I think 5 girls and 2 guys. All a little hazzy due to jet lag/alcohol. Everyone living here is fun and enjoys the drink. I think I fit in well. By around 9pm I started to fade and ended up going to bed while the rest of the crew went to the bars and didnt get back till 5am. I guess there are a few bars downtown that stay open 24hrs. I think I will like them. Thats about it for my firts 24 hrs. So ill keep you posted with more news soon. Cheers Julian
