Today we had a herbal sauna and massage! Was very nice, it was in the woods so we could hear the birds singing as we relaxed! It didnt start too well tho, when we first got in the sauna an over-weight Laos man sat about 2ft in-front of us and made grunting noises. Pervert.

At lunch we got a minivan to the capital - Vientiane which took about 3hrs. We were greated at our hostel by a cockroach. Which was nice. Its not very nice here, its a bit like a small Bangkok!

I know I said it yesterday, but today really was the best day so far!! We went tubing!! Tubing is basically floating down the river on a large rubber ring, and stopping off at the various bars. Loads of people do it, so its a big social affair! Fantasitic views, hot sunshine, cocktails and Bob Marley. Happy days!

In the morning we found a new place to stay, it was called Riverside Bungalows (clue is in the name), we had views of the mountains so we were pleased with our find! In the afternoon we got a tuk-tuk (along a very bumpy dusty road) to Poukham caves. The only caves I have been to so far were the very touristy, easily accesible Pak Ou caves, thererfore we were in for a shock!! We had to climb up 100m of rocky mountain to reach the caves (hard when in flip-flops!), ...

In the morning we got a min-van with 6 other people to Vang Vieng. It took about 5.5hrs because the road had to bend and wind round mountains... so the views were amazing! When we arrived we found an amazing bar which had hammocks in bamboo huts with views of the river and the mountains beyond... we got comfortable and watched the sunset whilst listening to chillout music!
