Hey don't knock the rat Roland did very well for himself in his heyday. It's sad to see a good rat down on his luck and in such reduced circumstances. The chocolate I can understand but the handbag fetish is a bit of a worry though. Perhaps Ali could persuade him to come out of retirement.

We have arrived in New Zealand, in Christchurch and its cold!!!!
A few days ago we were in alice springs where it was 40 degrees and now its 13 degrees!!! Good bye suntan... nice knowing you....
lol it may be cold but it is really nice here, we are just trying to plan our route at the moment and there is so much to do here from whale watching, panning for gold to going to glaciers and lots more.
i shall do an update soon - when we start doing something that is, thanks for all the posts!

lovin the photos of the northen territory and especially lovin the cowboy hat yeee haaa!!! im am so so jelous i nearly ate my own hand!!not that that would have helped anything.
We have rats in our house and they came in my room an chewed through my favourite bag and ate my whole easter egg i had been saving!! how rude!! any hoo the rat man has been to put down some poisin......ratty...your days are numbered mwa ha ha.
I taklked stu into going shopping with me tommorrow, i bribed him by saying i would take him to the bike shop where he could look at shiny bikes!!
IM guessing you guys are in new zeland by now i hope you are having a great time and i hope the temperature drop is not to bad, you may need to buy some more jumpers. watch out for the kiwi birs i hear its a vile beastly beast x x x

I'm glad to hear you two are still having a fab time. I'm stuck here in Wales still... but a bit of Oceanarium gossip for you (not that you're prob interested!)..
WE've been bought. By some Spanish people. Cue James running around like a loon and us having to be on our best behaviour. Everything has been refurbished, you won't recognise the cafe and shop now. It actually looks good. Erm what else.. everyone is leaving. There's noone left! Darren, Emily, Nakisa, Faern, Ali, Alex, Eugene.. they've all gone. And I think I have too though I haven't officially said anything yet and Noel is leaving in Summer.
Oh well.

I think it must be the heat...
No sadly I didn't have a camera... someone wanted to take it on her walk around the base but to be honest the views on top weren't that great - it was more the climb itself. Jos did get some of me coming down the last part however. (see photo album)
Oh and yes she won't be going near water when we get to Fiji without an underwater camera don't you worry. I can't handle anymore of her sea creature related LIES !!!
