jo ya flamin galah! never said there wasa pool at kineree house! in fact theres only a few very very expensive place on phi phi with pools.. plus your sitting on some of thailands best beaches! go to the beach!! first rain in ages here today, so just gona do laundry and boring stuff. maybe just eat steak, all day. :) enjoy maya bay!

I rang your Hotel and the manager said the EQ was 7.4 but the news bullitines suggested no tsunami's more than 200 KMs from epicentre but I would stay sharp Jo Jo. I can best describe the effect of an EQ under the sea as like sliding into a bath. Although you did not get the shock the wave can travel hit the continental shelf and bonce back the other way days later.

Had a look at where you are and it looks fab.

Hi yes everything is ok! actually heard of one last week too, and just had a chat with people here, i think there have been a few earthquakes in indonesia recently? there is no panic here at all, no one has mentioned anything at all, it is quite far away from us here - not felt any tremours at all. There are evacuatuion route signs all over the place - clearly put up since the last one. please dont worry. we're not - there was storm last night but nothing major, and back to beautiful blue sky today.

Indonesia has lifted a tsunami warning put in place after a powerful earthquake off the island of Sumatra.

The quake had a magnitude of 7.2, according to an official from the country's geophysics agency.

Hi Jo Jo. Great blog you've done so much, and I love the photo's, so good to have Caz with you.We've had a busy week doing nothing much except decorating our bedroom. What started off as a quick lick of paint is now turning into a major re-vamp. Must say it needed it and it's starting to take shape. Adam's had his 1/2 term this week, so he's been seeing friends and playing football. Annabel popped home for a quick visit this weekend,so that was really nice. We were thinking about Easter and you being back, I can't believe you've been gone nearly 2 months!!! Anyway the photo's are very reassuring that you're happy safe and well so enjoy the rest of your time with Caz, and I'm looking forward to the next episode!!!
