Lago de tota and playa Blanca In the morning Claire and I moved to the other Hostel, Finca San Pedro. We got settled in and hopped on a bus to Lago de tota, the largest lake in Columbia at 3000 m with a white sand beach called Player Blanca. Seven rides later......Sogamoso It turned out this day of hitchhiking was not our finest, but still successful! Seven rides later, more walking than we would have definitely liked, we made it to Sogomoso. There were only two hostels that we knew of in the city, we waited outside one of them for over a half an hour and didn't like it very much so we just stayed in a cheap hotel for the night.

Viilla de Leyva mountain trek......and Friday night fun! We had read there was a nice mountain trek to do just out of town so we did that for most of the day...... Really nice views of the town! We went a little higher up the hill when we were supposed to but it was worth it!
