Back in the US. When I look at this shot of me having coffee- Turkish- I know I will think about this trip for months to come. The sights of Petra and the Dead Sea to the Roman ruins and Hades Arch, the vast sand around Kuwait and the sight of the Kuwait Towers and the Persian Gulf all will have an affect on me. The people in these countries were all friendly and open. Like all of us they just want to raise families and live in a safe place. If there was ever a time to raise our level of understanding and acceptance to all the people of the world now is the time. Already I want to go back out again. To meet new people and see parts of the world that are new to me. If more of us did this I know the world would become more accepting of us and us of it. The Internet has made the world a smaller place but still nothing replaces the actual visit, the foot on the pad, the face to face. I hope to never stop traveling and watching the world unfold.
