hey guys.....sorry i havnt written so far...needless to say the internet connections are not that great in fiji,,,takes a half hour just to check emails and all so i cant really send alot of info....
so far the trip has been great.....yesterday we went to the most beautiful beach...white sand crystal clear waters and all..then saw a true fijian village...makes ya really appreciate what ya have you know.... went hiking in the rainforest today and tubing and jumping into waterfalls(yes i damn near died on the 5 mile hike up and down hills and all...(should have worked out or something before i came)..... very beautiful place...well except for the towns....they are a bit dirty and old...but the people are really some of the nicest around.....still hot .....but hey i can live with that ...

thanks bill and susan i appreciate the the support...my backpack is about 45lbs and another 10lbs for my dapack......but i dont carry that stuff all day or anything.....

pat my tan is still the same...my true redneck is showing thru though(sunburn that is )! lol :)

i just caught a glimpse of the earthquake on monday moning...i know its a shocker to everyone that knows me well....but i have not seen more than ten minutes of tv since i got here, the only reasn i saw that was the owner of my first hostel has family in india and he turned it on .....
