We were up before the sun today to get ready for an early start in Athens. After getting off the boat in Piraeus not knowing what we were going to do on our little shore excursion, and being told that all the taxi drivers were on strike we didn't know we would get there. If you've ever wondered if it's a good idea to sleep in on one of the days you aren't stopping anywhere on a cruise while there also happens to be a time change the answer is no, it's not the best idea. We woke up around 9am, but soon realized it was really 10. We missed breakfast at the nice restaurant so we had to go to the buffet, which they started closing down as soon as we got there. We were like rabid hyena trying to get scraps of a rotting zebra corps....

What a way to wake up! We have red curtains in our suite and and the sun made the whole room glow with a red hue. I made some coffee and enjoyed the sun and view of the ocean from our balcony while I waited for Kim to wake up. it's so nice to just sit and relax. The coffee isn't the best but it was nice to have. We awoke to church bells this morning. After getting ready and having breakfast we went out for one last little walk before we had to check out of the hotel. It was a beautiful day in Venice, the sun was defiantly out heating up the venetian streets. Stopping in a little shop we found a bottle of our favorite Italian wine; raboso. We were spoiled in Prague. The breakfast there was over the top. This morning we had a roll, some yogurt and a pastry. It did the job but not too noteworthy. The coffee however was astounding!
