We arrived in Cordoba early in the morning and made our way over to a hostel which was recommended in the guide book. When we got there they had very little accommodation available and they weren't sure if they would have the room for the four of us in two separate rooms. Whilst Sue and I waited with the bags Maeve and Anthony walked around the area trying to find some other hostels and seeing whether or not they had space. By the time they had returned he had been waiting over an hour in the lobby without it being clear if they could fit us in. Also waiting in the lobby was Uruguay's biggest reggae cover band who had pre-booked dormitory space at the hostel. Eventually one room became available so we all moved our bags in there whilst we waited for another room. Another room soon became available but the lock needed fixing so whilst it was being repaired we headed over the road for some breakfast/lunch. The bad food was served to us by the surliest waiter I have ever encountered but at least we managed to pass the time for an hour or so. Once the individual rooms were ready Sue and I caught up on the sleep we hadn't had on the night bus. Whilst we were sleeping Maeve and Anthony wandered around town and got their bearings. Once we got up we waited in the hostel for a little while checking our emails etc until Maeve and Anthony showed their faces. Once they were back we got ready to go out for dinner as they had spotted a restaurant with an interesting mix of local and Chinese food. We all ordered off the Chinese menu and had a really good meal. After the meal we headed over to a Tango show where Sue and Anthony had the misfortune of having to join in the lesson whilst Maeve and I laughed ourselves silly sharing a bottle of wine. When the lesson finished the show was due to begin but unfortunately a thunderstorm started and the open air venue was a washout. We ran over the road to a pub called Johnny B Goods where we had a couple of drinks when Sue and Maeve decided to call it night. Anthony and I weren't quite ready to go home so ended up going out for a few more drinks which never seemed to end. Come about 4am we were walking home in the flooded streets back to our hostel. I walked past a drain in the street which, along with all the water it was swallowing, took my flip flop clean off my foot and straight down in to Cordoba's drainage system. I walked the final stretch home in bare feet ruing the fact that I was going to have to purchase yet another pair of flip flops. The following morning we all had to move out of our rooms in to a dormitory where Anthony and I stayed to try and sleep of our hangovers whilst Sue and Maeve had breakfast. Around midday they dragged us out of bed and to the bus station where we had to book tickets to Rosario and Maeve and Anthony were going to Iguacu. After we booked our tickets we had to catch a bus about an hour outside of town to the small town where Ernesto 'Che' Guevera was born. It was on this bus journey that I took a turn for the worse and when the bus arrived at Che's town I stumbled off the bus, over the road and found solace behind a tree where I proceeded to be violently ill. It did make me feel a hundred times better and I was able to enjoy the museum that is housed in Che's old home. Inside the house they had the motorbike he rode when travelling from Argentina to Bolivia and made famous by the book and film 'the motorcycle diaries'. Also in the house where many photo's of his time as a revolutionary as well as his resignation later to Fidel Castro. After the museum we boarded the bus back to Cordoba where we tried to find numerous restaurants in the guide books to no avail so we headed back to Johnny B Goods for a final dinner with Anthony and Maeve. After dinner we caught a taxi back to the hostel and all went to bed early after having had quite an exhausting day either dealing with (or dealing with a man with) a hangover. The following morning we were up at a reasonable time as we had to catch an 11am bus ride over to Rosario. We said our goodbyes to our long time travel partners Maeve and Anthony and headed off to the bus station for the relatively short journey to Rosario.
