Thanks to Rosemary and Peter for the great blogs on Minerve and Ruffec! Sounds like the Minerve ride was challenging to say the least, but there's no gain without pain, and the rewards of spectacular panoramas and gastronomic bliss well worth the hard work!

This site is just too cute, I love it! I'm discovering the Kent countryside from the urban confines of my Clapham abode. More please...x

I'm very pleased that John and Norman weren't either under the bricks, or on top of them!

Now that Peter has returned refreshed, tanned and relaxed from his week in SA, and Rosemary has confined him to the house for a few days to catch up with the chores, Norman and John will be undertaking an arduous training ride on the challenging Romney Marsh peaks tomorrow in preparation for next Wednesday's 100km North Kent Coastal.

Hi. Great site, though a lack of pics of the cyclists! Just to let you know the huts you refer to as being repainted on Folkestone seafront, were actually made from the old Crazy Golf pitch that used to be at the Rotunda. Just one of the crazy 'art-e-facts in the new 'Creative' Folkestone!
Enjoy the ride, and look forward to meeting you for lunch on the odd Wed! Jess

Hi Peter and Rosemary,
How ingenious of you to send us your travel fun on bikes. I think we need to get a digital camera to join you on your blog. It's a fantastique way of keeping in touch and a good way of recommending new pubs with good food. Thanks so much for thinking of us. Have you got anything on your wedding anniversary? I wish we could have been part of your celebrations...but Bahrain was calling us back. Did you get the poster we managed to rescue from the post office in Lympne? It seemed very apt for the occasion and I trust everybody signed it.
On your log it mentions John and Peter - I tried to identify John, but unless my eyesight is that poor, I don't think it is John East. I gather it's a different John.
I trust your house is beginning to look the way you want it and that by now you will have been able to spread back into your lounge. We are so glad you didn't move away from Lympne and look forward to seeing you sometime in spring either before skiing or after. Not yet sure of our movements. With our love to you both and the Easts when you see them. Madeline
