Hi everyone, here it is! the next travelling blog.
I have decided to make a little catchup in english for those I know don't like the result you get translating from danish to english with google.
Johanne and I are know in the fourth week, closing the fifth, of our seven week long travel through Vietnam. So far it has been amazing and a really mixed tour regarding weather, temprature, amount of turists, room standard (if we were not sleeping in our tent) and in ways we have transported ourselfs.
On the first trip we went to Sapa by train. Sapa was cold, misty and the hotel was without any heaters, brrr but the landscape was amazing and the trekking was deficult and just what we needed to kickstart our trip.
Next up was Ha Long Bay, that is reconized worldwide for its Island formations and we both got the chance watching this from motorbike, kayak, top of a cliff and from a slow boat.. that served good dinner though ;)
Still the weather was quite cold and the longing for sun and some heat made us take the first buss to Hue (the plan was Hoi An but the buss driver forgot us and we were sleeping). After waking up knowing we were not at the planned location, we found a hotel in Hue used a couple of days for sightseing and rented a bike for the next day. The Next day we drove up back up to Hoi An (5 hours) and visited three uniqe caves in the national park close by, fantastic experience. Back to Hue on the bike we had some special experiences getting a little bit lost (with the right direction, south west). We were driving on everything from ricefields (the small tracks beside them), mountains to the mainroad between Hanoi and Saigon, in the rush hour. That part we would not recommend but driving in mountains not meeting anyone for around an hour and driving on the small roads was amazing!
The last three days we have been diving and not just diving but we have been taking a diving certificate, open water diver. It has taken only three days but have been quite intense. We did two dives all three days and spend the afternoon on theory... some more than others ;). But today we finished the last skills and passed the exam! Go watch the fotos if you did not already.
Next up; is relaxing at Phu Quock Island where we are going the 11th. How long we are gonna spend there, we don't know.
Hope you are all good!
P.S. Stort tak til Mette og Benny for at lade deres skQnne datter tage ud i verden og rejse med mig!
