Sounds like a great trip so far. I'd love to go to Mongolia - were there lots of yaks? In Beijing apart from the major sights - we really liked Beihai park with the 9 Dragon Screen. Panjiayuan market has all sorts of interesting stuff (cant remember whether they have tea but theyhad lots of crafts) and worth the journey - it's about a half hour's bus journey out from the centre. Anyway you probably know all this. Best wishes for the rest of your travels - where are you heading next?
