Got up early and walked down to the beach to watch the sunrise. It was beautiful. Checked out of our hotel, after a relaxing dip in the outdoor jacuzzi.

Jumped in the car and drove to Kuranda and saw a field of wild kangaroos on our route. We took the skyrail to Kuranda village, stopping at a couple of view points including Barron Falls. It was lovely to see the rainforest from above; it was so vast! At Kuranda, we visited a butterfly garden and saw lots and lots of beautiful butterflies. Lisa was like the butterfly whisperer - she was covered in them!

Our trip to Cairns was coming to an end. We dropped the car at the airport and jumped on a flight back to Brisbane. The views from the plane were beautiful though.
