Hi all,
Well, well it seems we have been away from vega for a long time now. Athens had amazing sights but we didn't like the town it was way too hectic and dodgy. So we got onto our ferry and headed for Paros. We stayed here for one night which was probably not enough to get a real feel for the place. Had a look around - managed to loose each other for a while (nervous) and then got back on another ferry for Santorini. We got here and what chaos at the wharf all the owners trying to get you to stay at their place, we both got a little flustered here as you can imagine!! We ended up staying over the beach side which I am now pleased we did - we went to Fira on Wednesday and it was just hectic, over here it is far more laid back. Yesterday we did a tour - first stop an active volcano, we walked to the top of this and not much was up there but it seems to be a tourist must do?? The volcano was still smoking a little but not much, it was interesting to find out the history of Santorini. From there we went to the hot springs, we jumped off the boat into the sea - it was actually quite warm and into the hot springs. Then we went to Thirissa - this was a bit of a have as you got stick there for 2 hours and not much there unless you wanted to ride a donkey to the top. Then to Oia for a sunset - Lucetta you would have been proud we did not get a donkey we walked up, I think Andrew regretted that. Then watched an amazing sunset, what was unreal was how many other people were doing the same thing! Today we will just hang out by the pool until this afternoon and then get back on another ferry to go back to athens. We fly out to Bari tomorrow lunch time, then onto Croatia. We have loved Santorini but the greeks are crazy drivers - the bus driver last night was mad!!! We hope all is well at home - miss you all but having a blast here.
Lots of love
Jodie and Andrew
