Hi Joanne,
Glad you sound a bit brighter and more optimistic today. Let's hope that's the worst bit over. Hope the train journey's not too bad, although it sounds like a long haul, thank goodness you've still got Andy for company. Just keep thinking of all the fab places you've still got to visit and keep going. Claire and Andrew are following your travels and can't wait till you get to Australia, you'll love it! Chin up, you can do it,
Love Jan x

Hi Joanne
Sounds as if you have had a tough few days - but you need to think positively about the challenge you have set yourself and all the other wonderful places you plan to visit. You must also be on a roller coaster when you set off on your travels and now the rest is up to you. But you are a very strong girl and I know you will work through the next wee while and enjoy all the wonderful plans you have made. I really hope Andy decides to stay for a while as it is good to talk things through with somebody and also have a travelling companioin when you are not feeling at your safest. We are all rooting for you here Joanne so chin up girl and remember all the lovely places you have seen.

why aye man! hey joanne,
you are now in a completely new situation: no home, far away from your country, no friends and family around you and everything is just horrible. but i would not give up. in life there are always hard times and these challenges will just make you stronger if you do not run away. you already wrote it yourself but i can just repeat it: the good bits and pieces count and apparently you had already really nice experiences: the wedding, the dinner, the little garden in the hotel. do not think everything black and white....there are thousands of grey shades...so if you experience a bad thing again keep you up with good thoughts. and we all think of you so you are not alone (mentally). but as some people already wrote it: try not to leave andy (only if he is going back home) or try to find somebody else as soon as possible, because it would be tougher alone...you need somebody to talk with somebody who knows what you are talking about about the experiences you made. so never ever give up hope!there will be better times soon. and on the other hand: it is another country so another culture and completely different. you need to accept it and try to understand them for that you can act similar.and as you wrote, you know now how to shout (which seems to be an asian thing). i am thinking of you and wish you all the best for the next days. it gonna be all right (i know i know, i dont know how it is over there, but i experienced also this "cultureshock" etc.)
never lose hope

Joanne, sounds like your on a emotional rollercoaster, try and stay focussed on what you want out of the trip, it will all add to the experience.
I saw the painted elephants on TV last night, they looked amazing... did you get to go on one? The TV programme was about two female celebs going across India, they went to a RAT Temple, after doing the camel trek thing, their trip was very emotional for them too, they were crying a lot and were always coming home, but they stayed their time and found it worthwhile.
Stay positive and be organised.
Miss you loads.
