On the 28th march we left early for a 12 hour bus journey through the aussie outback to a cattle ranch in kroonbit (the largest in aussie covering miles and miles of land) on the way we saw lots of kangeroos hopping near the side of the road, we had to break a couple of times to avoid hitting them! The next day we travelled to townsville, we were meant to go to magnetic island but everywhere was fully booked due to easter hols and we didnt fancy sleeping on the beach so we found a hostel in townsville instead. Apparently there are crocs everywhere, both in salt water and in fresh water so im even checking the swimming pools before i get in!! Our flight to austrilia was terrifiying as usual and we had 2 take offs and two landings as we had to stiop and refuel in darwin which i didnt appreiciate one bit! We found our hostel pretty easily but were shocked to see how much like a prison it is! There are 8 beds in a room the size of my bedroom at home and one bathroom (with a door off its hinges and cold water!) to share but its ok cos the people are nice in this one and its only 7 pounds a night!
