This was the challenge. So we set off on our way to the inca trail. We had a private bus and a tour guide just for the two of us plus 6 other people ( 5 porters and a chef) who carried all of our stuff and the food which we would eat for the next few days. They would run past us in order to beat us to each lunch stop and campsite so that everything was all ready for us when we arrived. It was a very good service and all we had to do was walk and carry a backpack....

The night before we leave for the Inca trail, we´re only allowed 4kg each for the next 4 days and 3 nights, the sleeping bags we brought apparently arent good enough so we had to hire thiers. So weve been lugging them around for no reason, ah well we made need them at some point. We are leaving at 530 tomorrow morning, our tour guide has made it sound quite easy, a little bit too easy. We´re not convinced. Walking sticks will be waiting for us, lets hope we don...

Back from the jungle, was very hot! Saw lots of animals :) We took a boat up river and where given lunch all wrapped up in a wicker basket it was really good. The lodge was really nice with no electricity of course, so everything was lit with candle light, but we still had hot showers, amazing! Just off the plane in Puerto Maldonaldo, and about to begin our jungle adventure, met with the rest of our group, all lovely. (Hi Sue, Mike, Pam and Simon) And ofcourse Jessica Vega this is going to be an interesting trip... lets hope we see lots of animals, and it doesnt rain (fingers crossed) it is the rainy season after all.

So after a long day of travelling we finally arrived at our hostel in Miraflores. Having had a tiring flight with a small child screaming and kicking the seats we were very glad to have a bed to sleep in. The hostel is nice but will have to get used to the busy streets and people coming in and out at all times of the night. We had a rather interrupted nights sleep and were awake bright and early ready to explore! Had a Surprisingly nice breakfast and then aimles...
