Good to hear that you have started training - never too late to make the All blacks team for RWC2007!!! James glad that you are developing expertise in apple picking, you can show us your new skills later this year in the garden. Does the grape pickig season come after the apples??
Am in sunny Sudan so missing the cold of UK but looking forward to returning home at the weekend. Glad the flat is turning out OK and that you are cooking and not living on the take aways - do they have any in Napier.
Work and train hard, speak soon love dad

Hi boys! sounds like you're all settled in - you sound so domesticated! Food sounds great, we'll be expecting great things when you get back...
Just looked up Napier's website - what a beautiful place! Loads of Art Deco buildings, how fabulous - make sure you take lots of photos.
Glad your first training went well and you didn't feel out of place - by the time you've been training and working for a couple of months you'll be in great shape for the start of the season, they won't know what's hit them! How long does the fruit-picking job last?
And oh dear! I didn't like the thought of the grape-trampling - I've known one pair of those feet a long time and I wouldn't want them in my glass of wine!! should like to know what Jilly Goolden would make of that vintage!
Keep having fun! Lots of love - GM xxx
Mum, Dad And Chris
Glad to hear the training went well boys. The meals sound appetising and it's great that you're getting the place sorted out. Are you off the sofa yet Ian? Go steady with the insecticides!
Chris spent the day at Noah's yesterday - Joe and James are back from skiing and I think Joe is off imminently but they're trying to arrange for him to have vaccinations out there. Gramp is well and sends love as do Sarah (in London) and Sue!
Take care all, lots of love xxxx
The Boys
hey everyone,
Have just finished our third day of fruit picking, could quite possibly qualify as the worst job in the world lol but nevermind it'll do for the moment! Had our first training last night, went pretty well actually, didn't look out of place so thats a good start. Just off to go shopping for the rest of the week, we're getting well into this cooking malarky, planning our meals the day before, so far its been pasta, Spicy sausage and mash, home made burgers and Jimmy's Peanut noodles and pork haha its going well. The house is ok now, we've had our boiler fixed and with the addition of raid spray the ants and flies are now at an all time low, think we're gettin somewhere. anyway best dash
The boys xx

Hi Boys, you must be just off to your 2nd day's work, then down to the serious stuff of your 1st training session ~ you must be very excited....and slightly nervous. Hope you got some new boots, Will ~ do they have size 14s in NZ? Martyn Kimber says you are in the best wine area, so please make sure your feet are clean before treading any grapes ~ they'll undoubtedly offer you a job as your combined foot area must be pretty awesome..... and, may I remind you, for grape stamping duty only, not scrum/prop/'softening up'/etc stamping.........as if.....(although, I suspect that Jimmy has become an honourary Nympsfieldian, and therefore qualifies for protection duties if necessary! Except he's so fast he probably avoids the eyeballing 'Wotchulookinat?' you "pack" boys' get up to!) Martyn very envious of you in his homeland just as he was about to take Y3 for Games in this miserable weather! Think of us as we envy you. Missinuloadsasever. Off to be a Viking slave with 40x10 year olds in York for a while ~ Stan, Murphy & Gemma on guard duty....Mxx

Good morning! Hope your first day's fruit-picking has gone well - and as Jill said, no doubt you have eaten plenty, Ian! Does it pay well or will you all be living on your savings?
Not much news, planning to 'excavate' my spare room at the end of the week and see if anything interesting is buried beneath the heaps of stuff... My dear brother is organising me - well, someone has to I suppose!
Just had a funny little moment at work - the chaps in the works like to wind up the new lads so they just sent one into my office for his 'medical'!! I don't know which of us was most embarrassed!! One of these days I shall manage to think of a way of getting my own back on them...

Hello Guys all the stuff about the house brings back memories from when we sorted the first one out in oz. its a pain but do they have council clear up like they do in oz because that helps loads.
