I have finally been able to load some photo's of South Africa. Just to show you some of the places we have been and some of the things we have done. I am doing this very late at night so there may be some duplicate photo's. I have not been able to put captions on this lot as there are so many but I will try harder in the future.

Hi All

Finally got a bit of time to give a few updates on our progress. Spent five mad days in Bangkok with Ken's friends Mick and Carol. Great little guest house called ;Queen Lotus'. Cheap!! of course but good beds and A.C. which was needed as very hot and humid. Spent lots of time in back of taxi's in traffic jams so found our way onto skytrain and underground which proved to be a much better way of getting about. Did temples and boat trips and found some great food. Jim will try and put some pics on later. Bought an acer notebook computer which is great. Internet is still a bit 'hit and miss' in some places but we will do our best to keep a bit more up to date now. Flew to Phuket (Thailands largest lsland) on 17th Feb. to stay with Mick and Carol. They have a house and office in north part of island with a few flats in their grounds. Even hotter than Bangkok so A.C. was essential. Mick gave us acess to a vehicle so we got ourselves about and explored the beaches and sites of Phuket. Spent one night at a rock and blues concert in the grounds of the Hilton hotel, which was set up four years ago to help rebuild the sites that were wrecked by the tsunami. Still some evidence of how much it affected certain areas, but the people seem to be very resiliant and are trying very hard to rebuild their lives and businesses. Will give another update soon.
