Christies Beach is about 25kms south of Adelaide, it reminded me of the beaches and towns on the Mornington Peninsula, it is a lovely spot and it was very busy because of the long weekend. We only had to walk down a small footpath and we were on the beach. We were at Christies beach for the week and we were out and about on most days.
We went for a drive around the Barossa Valley, it looked liked the harvest was over, but they were out trimming the vines. Hahndorff was a lovely German Village, it was another really hot day, we had lunch at a German Pub, Jim had bratwurst and saurkraut which he said was a little different to his mums but he still enjoyed it. Victor Harbor was another lovely drive and we also drove through the seppelt wine area.
On the Saturday we decided to go into Adelaide and have a look around, we caught the free bus which drove around some of the main attractions in Adelaide (no comentary like the tram in Melb) we thought that we would go to the back of the bus as we would be able to get better photos, not so !! we decided to go back down the step to find a better place to sit. Jim did this safely (the step would have been about 12 inches) not me I landed very heavily on my ankle and our day was over. It is badly sprained, swollen, quite black and blue. It should come good in a few days. We drove home via Genelg Beach which we will return to one day.
