Can't remember when my last blog entry was but I'm pretty sure it didn't cover my trip back home to Sydney for a month, a road trip to Queensland, summer in Whistler and now a 2 week trip to the Alaskan Interior and a cruise down the Inside Passage!
So after a month of skiing Blackcomb Glacier, cycling the Village trails of Whistler, learning the addictive past-time of disc golf, camping in remote places like Tyax lodge in the Hurley Mountain Range and basking by the lakes of Whistler, I'm now in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Today activities included panning for gold at the El Dorado goldmine, marvelling at the Trans-Alaska (black gold) pipeline, Gold Drege No. 8, and cruising down the Chena River to an Athabasca Indian Village on an old school paddle steamer.
