Aloha,
So far I have learnt to say hello in 3 different languages who says I haven't been exercising my brain on this trip.
Well I arrived in Honolulu at about 1pm and had to crash straight away as I had been up travelling for 24 hours, the plus side was that I gained a whole day and got to have a second 28th November.
The next morning I couldn't wait to get to the beach so I got up early and walked the whole 20m to the beach and got my chair and boogy board and I sat there for an hour or so and had a little go in the water. However it wasn't very sunny and then guess what it actually sarted to rain I go all the way to Hawaii and it rains :( So I decided to do what all Americans do when it rains and go shopping.
They are really in to Christmas in a big way here all the shops are playing Christmas music and they are turning on the Christmas lights tonight. However it does have a Hawaiian twist Father Christmas is wearing Hawaiin shorts and lots of the decorations involve flip flops and surf boards.
Yesterday I went to the Polynesian Culture Center and had a day finding out about all of the Pacific Islands - Hawaii, Fiji, Tonga, Tahiti and Samoa it was great I got to make Coconut Bread and weave a basket from a palm tree leave. There was also a traditional Lula complete with roasted pig to finish off the evening.
Today is my last day here so I am going to sit on the beach and soak up those last sun rays before I head for San Francisco.
Aloha.
