Hello, steph here!
now then anyone that knows me really well, will know that i have not yet typed a blog yet, i have been present adding a few comments but the correct spelling and the use of big words and the fact that most the blogs make sense will indicate i did not type them!! so here goes for my first proper entry!
before i dive straight into the fact that we are having an amazing time i would like to bring up the point that people may not recognise me when i get back, as at the moment i look like a human dot to dot!! there are thousands of pesky sand flies out here, and i swear they are all out to get me, i counted how many bites i had on my legs the other day and there are 60 plus!! and they are big red blotches!! everyone else seems to be ok!! there bites havnt shown!! i look like i have a bad case of chicken pox!! its sucks!! anyway rant over!!
we went white water rafting yesterday!! it was absolutley amazing!! i really loved it!! we went down some grade 5 rapids and they are rough!! we nearly flew out, you ahve to hold on for dear life!! me and anne were sat at the front as they said strongest to the front! jen and laura 'kindly' nominated us!! but we enjoyed it up front, ben (our sexy instructor) said our rowing skills were very good! as me and anne lead the troops in time! we didnt capsize or anything! it was an amzing experience! they put the fear into you incase you do fall out!! and my god it works, when they yell hold on and get down!! you do it as fast as possible! while they stand up still rowing as if its easy!! we had a good day for it to the sun was shining! was nice and the water was bright blue as all the lakes are here!! but definatly recommend it! i loved it!
we had to give besy (our camper, yes we named her)back this morning! it was a sad moment, as she has been with us for 8 days now! she was near enough one of us! so we cleaned her up good and proper and handed her back! im going to miss the long journeys in the back, pretending to laugh at lauras jokes and watch her amazement at the fact people breed deer over here, while anne and jen guide us through the beautiful countryside! good times. now we are back to the coachman back packers hostel, it just isnt home, not like the camper! we are sharing a room with a hongkong person at the moment! she said hi earlier! she seems nice enough! but i dont think we will really see her again as we are out and heading to the airport at 3 tomorrow morning! going to bed fully clothed and ready i think!
its jst one adventure after another for us four girls! there is no stopping us! got the sydney harbour bridge climb tomorrow ( better take it easy on the wine tonight you cant do it if your over the limit) and a bit of a wonder around there! anne and laura arnt doing the climb they are in search of some sunglasses and a sun hat! and a general wonder! admiring the veiws!
going to really miss NZ it is gorgeaous place, its so laid back and easy going! nothing seems rushed and everything is so preserved over here! its tidy everywhere and round every corner there is something new to look at!
still bring on australia, it has a tough act to follow but i think its up to the challenge!
bye for now! (think my first blog went ok)
