Packed up and heading to the International Spy Museum this morning - one of the few museums you have to pay to see in Washington DC - a great place to go!
Spent almost 3 hours there checking out 'spy' stuff, hearing stories and trying our hand at being a spy. I'm sorry to say that I could not remember all my cover details ... so I will not be joining ASIO any time soon so ... We made our way back to our motel, picked up our bags and hit the road for Richmond Virginia.
Got to our motel, got changed and drove to Richmond International Speedway. So many cars ... finally got a park in a satellite car park and caught the tram to the speedway with all the very excited fans!
There is much fanfare prior to the race - bands playing, people singing, a prayer and the National Anthem -- and then they are off!
Around and around they go. It is very difficult to see who is in front or to see the number of the cars. A few little touches and a spin out but a very safe race. It was getting very late and we had a fair way to drive so we headed for the car, had a chat with some nice people on the way and got out of the car park before the majority.
Another big day - exhausted!
