The British Museum combined new with old architecture beautifully. This place is huge. You could spend days here if you had time and I think that would be the best way to see it - bit by bit otherwise information overload takes over. The Pompeii and Herculaneum Exhibition was extremely well done and has made going to these places even more of a must.

A family day out at Hampton Court Palace. This is a strudel palace. It has been renovated and added to many times. Home to many royals including Henry VIII. Great day including lunch, buggy ride and maze fun.

Today we hopped on and off all over London. We walked from Big Ben passed the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Then down to Buckingham Palace before walking to Hyde Park in search of Mr Darcy ... Apparently he has relocated ... So disappointing! For me anyway. An ice cream and a sit down restored us for more hopping. Birthday Dinner out at Soif, French cuisine, very nice. The picture is taken from the Millennium Bridge looking back at St Paul's Cathedr...

We made it! Great to have the biggest travel leg out of the way. Economy plus was very good, amazing what 3 inches extra can do for you. It feels like we are starting our adventures today. The picture today is the street we are living on for the next week. The high street is 50 metres down the road, there are street stalls and every shop you can think of - my favourite is the cheese shop with over 100 cheeses to choose from! I'll post some pictures later.
