Our accommodation here in Lancaster is very nice so, after a swim this morning we have decided to stay another night. Organised to 'change out' our hire car for a Kia Forte as the Mazda 3 didn't have cruise and we have a long way to go. Had a quick look at the huge Lake Erie (today's pic is a little friend we met at the lake) then drove to Grove City Shopping Outlet and shopped for about five hours! Bought some clothes, other assorted necessaries and 10 pairs of shoes between us! Hit the road heading for Lancaster, it was windy at times with tunnels going through three mountains. Drove to Goat Island, Niagara Falls after breakie today. It is the Labour Day Weekend here and the falls area was packed. Traffic jams and huge lines but hey, we have to be somewhere for Labour Day. We survived the Hurricane area of the Caves of the Wind Walk. You are supplied with sandals and a poncho for this walk which goes down a elevator and then along a tangle on paths and steps that get closer and closer to the falls - well soaked. Breakie at Hi-Tide and a walk along the beach at Winthrop before we hit the Interstate heading north west back into New York State. I drove on the right side of the road for the first time which was quite intense to start with let alone the fact that we were in the middle of a thunder storm. Ended our day in Rochester NY. Our hotel has a guest laundry so we threw a load on to wash and went for a swim in the indoor pool. Came back to the laundry about 45 minutes...

After a much needed sleep in we had brunch at the Hi-Tide Coffee Shop a short walk from our accommodation. Then we drove into Boston to walk the Heritage Trail. Those pikes and tunnels are confusing enough without the GPS telling us to go left but showing a right turn on the screen.
