Trabant on legs by David Cerny
At first, I thought this artist, Cerny, was just a bunch of hype. He basically monopolizes the art industry here in Prague. But after seeing more of his work & reading a bit about his influences, I'm a huge fan. This one, Trabant on Legs, is no longer on public display and is instead kept behind the German Embassy (Nick found it & an open fence for me to sneak around and take a pic, but he didn't know the meaning of it). I did some searching online and found out it symbolizes the massive amount of Germans from East Germany who camped out in German embassies in central European cities once released and while waiting for permision to enter Western Germany. That was just 20 years ago in Sept 1989...unreal.
