Zanzibar! Beautiful white sands and crystal blue seas-perfect for honeymoon-hint hint to anyone who's reading. We've been on safari 11 days now. Our truck is like the van dad, and we can now put a tent up in 2 minuites flat! Even had a shower under the stars the other day at a beautiful campsite. We've travelled through Kenya, now making our way through Tanzania. We've seen a couple of giraffes walking along the road and theats even before we got to NgoraNgora crater. In there we saw everything from water bufalo's, warthog, gazells, springboks, jakals, flamingo's,ostrich, a couple of lonely elephants, a cheeta chilling out, hyena's ripping a carcass open, black rhino's even rampant lions (lion's mating), then fighting over the lucky lady. It was amazing! Kate your photos win, but did you get to have dinner with hippo's and a greedy eagle rip your lunch out of your hand?
We've also been to masai villages, a snake park, chilled out a beautiful beaches and the rest of the time bounced around on the truck/laundrette (we've been busy handwashing out clothes). On board the truck there are 5 of us (well 6, but one of the other passengers is the drivers girlfriend so that doesn't count), there's one kiwi girl whose about our age-she's a star, one hyperactive 60 year old Geordie and an older German guy whose never been camping before - he's hysterical-doesn't want to ruin his piano fingers.
Next stop Lake Malawi, sleeping in the Plains with elephants, lions etc and then off to Livingstone for whitewater rafting, helicopter ride or maybe even microlighting (Jo quite fancies that). Mum don't tell nan till we're back on the ground (especially as her little pressies are paying for it!)hehe.
Speak to you all soon. Email us-anyone would think you're enjoying the peace and quite. Lots of love-wrap up warm (we're roasting in bikini's). Lots of love jellybellies (no longer jellybabies).XXx
